The wonderfully titled Grumpy Mule is a good quality roastery, based in West Yorkshire.  It is the retail arm of its parent company, Boiling Coffee Ltd, which also supplies equipment and barista training.

The owner Ian Balmforth has been in the coffee trade for coming up to 20 years.  His hard work has culminated in Grumpy Mule, an increasingly well-known brand with an excellent online presence.  Great to try both for home drinkers and those in the trade.

As far as we are aware, Grumpy Mule has no connection (aside from a broadly similar name) with coffee suppliers Happy Donkey.
